    IR5055 and dark bands

So I had one with black stripes on the printouts..copies or print jobs were the same...I pulled the dev and drum and found a build up of waste toner on the blade where the waste toner tube is...this build up was stopping the waste toner from being sent to the bottle and was being put on the drum so the stripes...I cleaned the tube out etc. put it together and it works nice...I checked the waste bottle and its less than 1/2 full...so my question is why the build up..bad motor?...but wouldnt that throw a error....hmmm one other thing the display says the toner waste bottle is almost full but dont change yet..like I say the bottle is less than 1/2 full...how can I get rid of the error..it bugs the customer....or is this part of the problem

    Thanks

You never realize how cheap a professional is until after you let an amateur do it.... and
if this was an easy thing to do then everybody would be doing it! But it isn't and they are not!!

This is Canons' problem for years, not enough air between the fuser and the AP unit.
Thus toner chunks. possible firmware upgrade will help.

You may have to clean out the toner that has hardened up by the auger and hopefully it didnt break. Did you turn the cleaning unit to see if the auger was turning? There is always some toner in that unit as well as the mag cylinder. Clear the misc counter in service mode. That message pops up every 250k

Take cleaner blade assembly off top and turn gear cluster on front

After clearing out your chunks, CLEAN OR REPLACE YOUR CLOGGED PRIMARY FAN FILTER. Check your ozone filter too

              Lack of airflow
              Too much heat.
