The machines after this one switched to the network cable for purposes of doing downloads, etc.

The machines originally had 6 gig drives on them. I have seen a lot have anywhere from 20-40 gig drives I think. These machines absolutely ate hard drives left and right. You could often try to reformat, etc and the machine might work for awhile, but you can look through the forum and see thread after thread on these machines and code 602's. Replacing hard drives on these is just someting that has to be done.
Good to know some of the newer ones won't be such a PITA but that doesn't change the fact I have to deal with this one at the moment. The Win 7 thing isn't an issue as I can just run a virtual XP with a network bridge to imitate a real XP copy.

This machine does have the 6 gig drive, and it looks like it's been replaced twice based on stickers of the HDD frame.

The new part number for 2200 and 3570 is FK2-4907

So you should be able to use the 3570 drive you got, after it is formatted and system software reloaded. you should try to get the latest format file.

My chart, surprisingly has no reference to SATA kit for 2200 or 2270, or 3045

      IR2200 / IR3300 / IR3320 series FY3-0314-000 20gb
      IR2270 series FY3-0314-000 20gb
      IR3045 FY3-0314-000 20gb

FY7-0433-000 is the number for SATA conversion kit if you need it some day

I couldn't get the drive formatted, the copier was throwing codes and not responding when the 3570 drive was used. Problem has been resolved since then, a formatted HDD was sent to me internally and the copier worked. Sorry for the delay but I just returned from holidays.
