    3380 creasing paper.

I had replaced the registration clutch on this model and played with the adjutments of the reg. assy. until i was able to get it where it wasnt crasing or jamming on me for over 100+ pages. the next day, my customer was saying that on any job size, the first page creases and jams, but the following pages are just fine. this is driving me crazy! has anyone ran into this issue before? If so, whould be the recomended action? i have looked through the manual, but can find any difinitive answer.
    thank you

Pull down the yellow cover on the Fixing Unit & check the thin orange roller rotates freely, the bushings on the roller ends get dry and/or worn therefore slowing the paper travel through the Fuser, this normally happens first up or after the machine has been idle for sometime - the first few pages may take on a curved and wavy shape for the first half of the page - a small drop of lube on the bushings will get you out of trouble but replacement of both roller & bushings should be done.

also check the Right Door Assembly position (FM2-5525-000)/ notorious issue on these models

The customer had approved the repalcement of the door, i had also cleaend and lubed the bushings on the orange roller in the fuser area, but the issues is still there, I have looked all over this forum to try and come up with an idea of what it may be, but i'm out of options. Are there any other ideas out there? thank you

paper type ? fuser age ??

is the crease consistent on paper runs ??

is crease on Paper feed direction or Cross-Feed (front to back of printer) ?

Check that that yellow door engages with the drive gear, the rear pin can bend so the orange roller does not drive causing jams & paper rippling & creasing

Usually first page jam is caused by sticky sound dampers. The two on the lower part of the door AND the 4 for the duplex diverter. 2 on the ends,2 in behind. But you replaced whole door? Yes if the bracket for the hinge in the fuser is bent you will get jams or waves in the paper, but it is usually consistent and not just on first copy. Also check the damper for the registration sensor actuator. I have seem them cause the actuator to fail to move. Clear the jam to free it up and away it goes. 3245 is notorious for this problem. New material for dampers
