It's sealing envelopes when printing..... Tried different types of envelopes. Any suggestions???

IC8380....not familiar. Just a tip... Canon copiers treat envelope as heavy paper by default. You can go in service mode and change this on some models...all the advanced machines machines,irc3480,irc4080\5185 can be changed to run envelope as plain. I've done this and have never had a problems with poor fusing. If it can't be done create a custom paper that can be run as plain paper. I called tech support about this years ago and they didn't have an answer. I found it meddling around in service mode. This total eliminates creases or sealing envelopes.On advanced machines its COPIER/OPTION/FEED-SW/EVLP-SPD...set to a 1 then reboot. You can also additionally tweak with EVLP-FS to change the fixing speed on envelopes to fine tune it. On older models(irc 3480 for example)...COPIER/OPTION/BODY/EVLP-SP...set to a 1 and reboot.
