Wow! Old one. If theres no handle to move dv away from drum, then its in service mode. Pinhole near fuser know has switch behind it. Activate with paper clip. I believe its in * 4 * and is called dev-xxx ( not sure of second part) That moves dv away from drum. I'm real deep into my memory now. I hope I helped. -

holy crap....I worked on these 20 years ago now. I am surprised that there are some still kicking around....that is too funny!Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

Indeed these are old stuff and surprisingly are still working in the field.
However,for the 4335,the drum is removed manually,by turning a black lever to the right of the dev unit.
As for the 4835,do the following;
1.Actuate the door switch ;2.Actuate service switch$;3.press*4*;4.use the arrow facing down to
search for DEV,REL;5.use cassette select key to excute the drum release.The dev unit will then seperate from the drum unit.Comment

That's it! developer release. If there's a color unit, be sure to remove the color unit before you do the shift, because the developing units cam simultaneously, color in/black out or color out/black in.
Also, if you attempt to clean the optics, be especially careful cleaning around the colored filters in the lens unit. It is very easy to knock out the colored filters, then have a hell of a time getting them back in.
Can you actually get parts for this old beastie? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
