    0000000000000000;

take of glass> move out all the way to right> power off/on printer>

does scanner move back to home

It sounds to me like the exposure lamp has not reached the proper intensity. Check for error codes stored: E220, E301, E803 and protection jam 0400.

Also check that lamp heater has not slipped around, covering the lamp intensity sensor opening.
Also check exposure lamp for blackened ends or arcing contacts.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Also check the home position sensor, clean it out, they fill up with dust etc & can cause odd faults with no error code.

            thank you in advance.
-The No. 1/No. 2 mirror mount is driven by the scanner motor (M3). The scanner motor is a stepping motor, and is controlled by the image processor PCB.
The position of the No. 1 mirror mount is detected by the scanner home position sensor (PS1).

The scanner fails to move forward/in reverse.
-Is the scanner drive cable routed correctly?
-Is the scanner rail free of dirt, and does the scanner move smoothly?
-Is the wiring/connection from the connector J116 on the DC controller PCB to the scanner motor through the relay connector
            J28 normal ?
Replace the scanner motor or DCPCB

            Scanner home position sensor=PS1

            DC PCB=J112BPS1-.JPG

E202 (The scanner home position is not detected.)
Is 5 VDC present at J112-B5 on the DC controller PCB when the scanner is at PS1?
