    IR105 Network Assistance

    Greetings,

We've had a IR105 for quite some time now and have been using it as a stand alone machine. We'd like to begin printing to it via the network. however, we're faced with the following problems.

    1. We assign a static IP address to the machine (192.168.16.136)
    2. we're able to ping the printer (as well as ping workstations from the printer)
    3. we install the printer (using the PCL 6 driver win7)

however, none of the print jobs reach the printer.

    Please Help!

    Thanks!

Do you know if it has a printer kit. Needs a printer kit if you want to print via network.

TBH i'm not sure. Would i be able to ping the machine and install the printer (windows communicates with the printer) without the print kit? Could you suggest a method to check?

      thanks,

You can ping or setup a printer with all the configurations. But with out the printer kit, nothing is coming out.

Most models within the counter check -Button there is a device configuration tab.

Within here should find something pertaining to a printer kit.

By the way SCREWTAPE thanks for the replies. I checked our system and it says 26.44C. Does this confirm that the printer kit isn't installed?
