[CQ] Trouble with copies on irac5045

Hello all

I'm having problem with making BW copies on irac5045i. It works fine untill it makes more than aprox. 350 copies at once. Then copies have black background, ghost images are appearing(mirrored). When I stop the process and start right over it works fine for another 350 or so. Problem doesn't occur when only magenta is used, and background is on copies (and on ITB) before they reach fixing unit.machine has in total 150k.

I've tried, cleaning lasers, replacing black drum and developing unit, ITB cleaner, sec.transfer roller, also had a chance to try another ITB and whole drum unit. I will also try replacing black( and cyan laser unit) but before I want to ask you guys , I'm new to this job and don't have any support from canon.
Can someone help me? thanks in advance

Try a main con clear (make sure you do a p-print and back up the user settings) and a software upgrade (which you can do directly from service menu) That's the only tips I can find on dark copies in Navi. Have not run into this issue personally.

Good advice from Northernlife. Also try with re-seat connectors on all controllers.

ps: Advance series have back up settings.You don't need p-print any more.

I know but I'm a guy who likes to have backups of backups. Always paranoid of the odd glitches

Thank you. Clearing main controller worked.
I had to set IP adress and language back , the rest stayed the same.
Wonder what was going on in machine.

Electronics my good man. No matter how good and well designed they are there's always the weird glitches, bad readings, etc... Keeps our asses employed lol

Error came back today.
I guess it wasn't main controller. I will try resiting connectors again, and if that doesn't work , i'll change the laser unit.
In service manual I see that Main con. gives command (for each laser) to DC con. and then to Laser PCB driver ? Can i also try DC con-clear ,or is there any kind of "reset" for black laser driver? What do you think about reinstalling software?

Don't forget back up before d-con clear.

You can change lasers to each other.
