    ir3045 Finisher

I have a customer with an ir3045 w/S1 internal finisher, when they put a stack of about 50 sheets in the feeder to copy (Letter size), they are not stacking correctly when they exit. In fact she says half of them end up falling to the floor. We will be going out tomorrow to see for ourselves but thought I would ask if anyone has seen this before.

    ==================

Finisher S1 is not offsetting or pulling pages back into finisher. The pages are then falling onto the floor.

Check the chart below for help in resolving this issue.

As the machine ages, the following parts should be inspected.
Quantity Part Number Description Location Comments
1 4F3-0243-000 Stack Delivery Slider Assy Q11-1 Comes with Q11-12 / base plastic may break off
1 4A3-1044-000 Tray, Operation Q11-5 Notch worn from wear
    2 4A3-1074-000 Sheet, Operation Tray Q11-6 goes on Q11-5
0 4A3-1055-000 Shaft, Claw Q11-10 Be careful not to break
0 4A3-1080-000 Sheet, Stack Delivery Guide Q11-12 Comes on Q11-1
    0 4F3-0241-000 Solenoid, Cable Q21-11 Clean
    0 Gear 64T Q21-16 Clean and lube
    0 Gear 34T Q21-17 Clean and lube
1 4A3-1109-000 Roller, Paper Feeder Q30-3 Delivery roller
0 4A3-1110-000 Rack, Offset Q30-4 Clean and lube
2 4A3-1121-000 Roller, Offset Q30-14 Delivery Moon Tires
0 4A3-1059-000 Lever, Pressure Q21-6 Breaks off and binds paper sensor causing the tray to lower all the way
    [[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[

If the paper isn't being pulled back far enough into the grippers.
This will cause the lead edge of the paper to hit the trail edge of the prior sheet.
The collision will cause the paper to be pushed off the tray onto the floor.

Replacing SL2 might resolve this issue.
The Part Number for the Offset Solenoid is 4F3-0244-000.

    See component location below.

Paper is being pushed to the floor, when Stacking Copies in the Finisher-S1

The items associated with this action were the worn parts displayed below in figure Q11, Internal Components.

In this instance, item numbers 1, 2, 3 and 10 were replaced to resolve this issue.

Below is a picture of Q11 with arrows indicating the parts replaced.

        S1
Paper pushed off the Stack Tray

As paper is feeding onto the stack tray the rear trail edge of the paper is turned upward , the next piece of paper pushes the previous paper to the floor.

        The Stack Trays were warped.
Resolved by replacing the upper 4A3-1070-000 and the lower 4A3-1069-00 Dummy Pass trays.
