hi every bodyi have IR5000 problem with cleanning web gear is burn and damage from heater temperaturei change it several time ( by original one ) and always burn and damagei change thermistor and subthermistor and not solve the problemi change a prameter " fix-temp" from 0 to 2 also not helpplease help thanks

Maybe check Fixing Roller bushings for wear/breakage which may give an incorrect reading through Thermistors?

Clean or replace the cooling filters.

Replace the black gear (FS7-0045-000) with 22t/63t/ FS7-0893-000.
You should also replace the other web advance gears with the following: FS7-0091-000, FS7-0894-000 and FS7-0895-000. For best results replace all 4 gears as a set.


FM1=Feed fan=Draws print paper to the feed belt.
FM2=Primary charging assembly cooling fan=Cools the primary charging assembly
and cleaner.
FM3=Cooling>Heat discharge fan=Discharges exhaust of each fan to the outside of the machine.
FM4=Controller cooling fan=Cools the laser unit, drive unit, and controller.
FM5=De-curling fan=Removes curling of print paper after fixing.
FM6=DC power supply fan=Cools the power supply PCB.
FM7=Hard disk fan=Cools the hard disk.
FM8=Duplexing feeding fan=Cools the duplexing feeding motor.

I believe that there is a tin foil heat shield in the upper fuser area that falls off...check for it..i think 5020 had it,,been a while. Also make sure the filters and grills are clean...primary filter clogs on one of these and the cleaner unit will back up ...chunks inside

i check the cooling fan ,and other suction fans , it's working normal
there aren't any heat shiedl there ,

i think to replace the plastic gear by a steel one
what do u think ????
