[Misc] CANON iR ADV-C2030i - red background printing or blue spots.

    hello friends,
I need some advice. Why Color Drum Unit from Canon copier iR-ADV C2030i prematurely consume 45% -75%?
For example: red background printing or blue spots.
I changed the drum unit to solve the problem on 2 of the copiers.
If anyone knows what the cause is consumed early, please let me know.

I was told at our last Canon tech seminar. .

The toner coverage on these devices has a massive affect on what kind of life you get out of the drums..
I would suspect this may be the issue. ..???

    Regards

From the very beginning I suspected toner coverage. Not found in the main menu or in service mode this coverage with color and black toner. On these copiers is installed uniFLOW ver 5.0.1. From ver 5.1 can extract a report on coverage and black color.
      Otherwise you can not?

      thanks

        Hi Aditaticu:

Would it be possible to upgrade the version of the Uniflow Software to Ver. 5.1, then print the report you need?

        Just an idea.

I can not install the uniFLOW Version 5.1.
Another possibility there to see Canon toner coverage?

The charging rollers of each color creates a coating followed by background on paper.
            There are several solutions :
            1) replace the drum unit
            2) disassemble the unit and clean the charging roller and cleaning unit drum every 20000 (counter 102)
            3) set the charging and discharging units - each machine behaves differently ie. proceed similarly as in the ghost imaging, description in SM

I have had some success with the following settings, especially if a drum is leaving background & you can see a coating on the drum, adjust the drum cleaning bias.

              1. Specify the color with which background occurs by visual check
              2. Increase the level of Upstream DC bias by 1
              (L2) COPIER>ADJUST>HV-PRI>USUB-xDC
              3. If the trace of Upstream Brush has not disappeared, decrease the level of Upstream DC bias by 1
              4. Decrease the amount of toner deposit
              (L2) COPIER>OPTION>IMG-MNCON>TNR-DWN
              5. If the issue still persists, replace the Drum Unit of the specific color
              6. Return the service mode setting value to the default
              7. Always a good idea to have the latest firmware too.
