[Electrical] SCREEN TABS MISALIGNED (Imagepress C1 & iRC4080i)

    hi all,

Hope you guys can help me out with some info, I have two machines, (Imagepress C1 & iRC 48080i) that have the same problem. The tabs/icons on the display seem to have become misaligned, its as if the whole touch panel has moved up about 2 cm's. so for example if i was to try a press PAPER SELECT i would literally have to press the screen about 2 cm above the paper select icon for it to work.

My question is, do i replace the screen itself or is it a board (inverter board) issue, because the display itself is perfect.

    thanks for your help,
    SAZ911..........

      first try this

      in service mode Level 1
      COPIER>FUNCTION>PANEL>TOUCHCHK
Used to adjust coordinate positions of analog touch panel.
      Operation method
      - Used to align the touch panel touch position with the LCD coordinate position.
      - Perform this service mode item if you have replaced the LCD unit.
      1) Select "TOUCHCHK" to display the item in reverse, then press the OK key.
      2) "+" appears on the touch panel at 9 positions sequentially. After you press each position, adjustment is complete.

          HI TECKAT,

thanks, tried doing the adjustment, problem is when i go into service mode i can only select feeder, because thats as far up as the screen detects touch, even if i was to get into "COPIER" i would not be able to select the tabs at the top.

anyways i think ill just have to replace the whole lot......

          cheers...
