Canon MF8080Cw drawer for toner stuck closed

Hello, customers 8080 toner drawer is somehow stuck closed and I can't open it for the life if me! Took top and side panels off but the mechanism keeping it stuck is not accessible. One toner is a third party refill and I am wondering if Canon has some kind of locking procedure to punish non OEM toner users! Has anyone seen this? Thanks in advance.

u can't slide out the Toner cartridge tray
