IR2016 low contrast right side

I have serviced this IR2016 for a long time , about 5 fuser films, 7 drums and lately changed the developing roller and spacers, but even afther this i have low contrast at the panel side of the paper. the developing unit looks ok, nice distribution of toner on the roller, the drum is (Katun kit) new.

Dirty laser maybe? Have you tried an OEM drum?

I dont think the drum is the problem, as i said its the 5 time i change the drum, always using katun kit and the problem appeared in betwen. Is a laser problem not giving grey backround like in some laser printers? Ill look for the laser. Is it hard to reach?

Should be over the top of the drum, usually right under the catch tray. Haven't had the pleasure of removing one on that model yet. Shouldn't be too difficult.

you problem could be dirty laser, another possibility can be poor quality toner (especially when u are using compatible toner) can also be the problem. Weak transfer charger is a possibility.

If the problem appear after replacing the Dev Roller and spacers then the Laser shouldn't get dirty in that short time.To clean the Laser mirror just take the Imagin Unit,actionate the Shutter Glass and use a ear stick to clean...it is recomended that after 225K prints to replace the entire Developin Unit.

Problem solved cleaning the laser!

The rotating mirror had dust buildup on it, all 6 sides of the miror had a visible 5 mm line of dust on their right side. Clening it solved the problem. The lenses were not dirty, probably the dust was cached by the turning mirror rotation.
