    Canon iR 3220 Saddle Finisher

I am trying to connect a saddle finisher to the main unit. When I plug it in the lcd on the main unit says connect the finisher to the main unit. When I push the two together it looks like the finisher hits the connector to the scanner. Can someone detail the process to get this working? Also, when the finisher is plugged in the trays do not move.

Do you have a latch plate mounted on the copier? Try pressing the interlock on the finisher manually. Trays won't move if finisher isn't attached.
