latest fix i did for this was to replace cracked black plastic moulding that guides steering roller assembly . rear of itb very near cleaning assembly. i'm not sure if that part is included in the mods mentioned above.

bearing on the aluminum transfer roller seizes up and chews out the shaft, no amount of level will fix that.

thanks, in my case moldings are perfect, but if it is true that if the moldings are bad, directly affect this problem

This chronic problem is this machine, Canon has no exact solution, each technician has to look for a different solution,

Yes they do. They have numerous bulletins and ITB improvement kits for this problem. sub code 3 means the belt is swaying backwards. Run ITB-INIT three times and post those three readings from display > misc > itb_pos please.

            Hi,

i know this is an old post, ive a 5151 with over 1.2 million on and its been coming in with E075-003 now on and off for a couple of months, about 3 calls. Went there today and the secondary transfer roller had actually worn down in the bearings allowing the roller to " wobble", probably just due to wear and tear. I leveled the machine a few months back with a small spirit level and didnt see it for about 2 months. Ive ordered a new secondary trans roller, but will look out for the bracket that can be adjusted. Does that bracket tighten the belt? or does it put tension between the rollers and drive roller?

              Re: E0075 0003

Hi guys. I have a 5035 that was delivered by a freight company. Wheels are sunken in and copier is hard to push around. The e007-0003 came up after I turned it on and tried two copies. You think the itb is damaged from shipping or just out of adjustment? Reads -191 but I cannot run any test on it at all. Any pdf instructions on how to get to and adjust the itb?

              thanks in advance,
              vu

Hello, I can't seem to balance it out, it either goes to front or rear no happy medium when I'm making that motor bracket adjustment! I was going to order the transfer belt and that secondary transfer roller. Is there anything else I should order? Thanks

So many bulletins for this issue it makes your head spin.

The only question I have is why?
Why would you design an transfer unit with a belt that floats around?

Just stick some rubber guides on both edges of the belt, add a little tension and be done with it. (that has worked fine for years).

                  -Or-

Reduce the length of the rollers down to the width of the belt and add some plastic guide washers onto the roller ends.

My point is it's just far more complicated than it needs to be imho.

Yeah - it is bad on this model.

A lot of older Canon models like C5180 series and even C2000/C2200 series have belts that are cut to the length of the printable paper sizes and have no steering control.

Funny though, everything bigger than the C5000 series seems to have belt steering and it works pretty good. I have basically no belt problems on C7000/C7200 and larger.

                        Title : E075 - 0003

Problem : The machine displayed an error code of E075 with a sub code of 0003. This indicates an error in full displacement of the ITB to the rear side.

Solution : Behind the ITB motor there is a silver bracket with two silver screws. This bracket affects the tracking of the belt. Remove the ITB motor. Loosen the two screws on the bracket and adjust the bracket 1mm at a time until the belt stops tracking off. The location of the bracket and the screws are shown below.

i also had this problem, can you show me the bracket behind the motor?
