hi every body
i have canon Ir2020 jaming after seconed paper pass 20cm (A4) from finisher
and messege " change paper size"
i change seperation roller , and change tension spring
and the problem dosn't solve
any other idea
sorry because my english is very bad

i try to change cassette size to (A4r) it's working good
but (A4) jaming and give messege

could be a defective Size Detection Assy. { FM2-3319-000 }


When you open a specific drawer/cassette, you will see a knob/switch on the front left corner or right corner of the drawer. The knob/switch determines which size paper is configured for that cassette. On that knob you will see all of the paper sizes that the specific drawer can hold. You can twist this knob to the specified paper size. This selection will now appear on the LCD. To verify the Paper Selection:
1. Press the Copy button.
2. Press Paper Select.
3. Now you will see what paper size each cassette is set for.



1-Try adding an extra wrap to the spring for the Registration Sensor (SR209) flag
check for a worn Sensor Flag (FC6-4310-000) for the Registration Sensor,

2-check by swapping cassettes if possible ?

3-check if u receive message from using Bypass

i check the RS209 flage , it's ok , and i warp spring
but not solve the problem

Check the registration clutch or remove the black bush attached with separation roller.

you cannot detect a bad board or component simply by looking at it. Like teck said, size detection PCB is the usual cause for this problem. If you could supply us with a jam code that would help tremendously

the problem is solved
the solonid arm was sticked and causing withdraw more than one paper each time
so the machine feeling the paper is not A4 size

change all the feed assembly with a new one your problem will solve ,it happened so much with me and i tried also to replace the 2 gears befor and it still the same problem so i changed the new feed Assembly and it work
