[Misc] IRADV C5030 Insert Black Drum Unit

Copier is giving this message. Haven't seen this before on this model.
It appears the black developer is not turning even though the linkage
that breaks is okay. Going to try a motor test and see what happens.

It is a machine we received used and is for our shop use.

Has anyone seen this?

Only thing I can find in casefiles is a blow dc-con.

Machine detects drum presence by measuring primary charging current i believe. Did you try another drum unit?

Remove & Re-seat the drum
Re-seat drum process kit assembly
Re-seat ITB unit

Tried all of the above including the DC Controller and no luck.

I hope you got it running.

I had noise issue and thought the linkage was fine also. Ended up ordering the drive unit. The one I ordered didn't come with the 4 motors. Wasn't too badly priced either. But it wasnt easy to replace. But the never called back. After pulling the unit it was obvious the problem (plastic bearings were worn out) . not sure it the same issue is yours but if you are not getting black drive it could be.

We got in a machine that works and attempted some part swapping with no success. We tried HVT2 that charges the primary ac and detects the voltage
from the primary. That is how this machine detects the presence of the black drum unit. We tried power supplies and relay pcb and main controller
1 still no luck. We did swap out process units and ITB assembly, no luck with that either. Guess it could be a wiring problem. Any other thoughts?
The black drum does rotate.

Hi i had this prob with Cyan and it was the HVT PCB on the left side of copier,we tried Dc Con first and that did not cure it.

I replace the Imaging H.V.C. Assembly. Part Number FM3-6076-010.
Inexpensive part but a lot of work to get to it as it mounts on the black
toner hopper.

Now the machine runs but I get no Cyan. I checked the coupling on the developer
as we have had those break in the past but it is okay.
Checking wiring now.

Got all the colors now. When I had the laser unit out I didn't get one connector plugged back in on reinstall.
That's what I get for hurrying.
