Canon iR3045 Jams in drum area Z folded LTR paper

    Hello guys,

This Canon IR3045 jams not always, but when it does, leaves the paper (LTR size, I haven't tried another siz e)
about 1 inch printed but it jams in the drum area, all jams show the Z folding, I suspected a vertical path clutch but this machine
uses servomotors for vertical path drive instead of clutches, then I suspected for the registration clutch (but number doesn't appear in parts manual)

So i'm lost at this point, customer just paid a complete new fuser unit plus labor and service and its annoyed for the expense at this point and the
machine is not behaving good so far, (meter has 455 K).

    Thanks for your ideas,

I forgot to mention, feed rollers were replaced for new during service,

True that, if the flag has no metal bracket on it it's probably worn down quite a bit

I'd go right to the damper pad. I've had tons of issues with those throughout the machine

first of all sorry on bad English. :-)
Once I had bad Drum cylinder.Problem was bad gear.It is not properly attached to the drum cylinder and sometimes drum was not rotating and there is a jam.
Check MAIN DRIVE ASSEMBLY (figure 250)clutches.

Does it jam on duplex only or on single sided also?

This series does not like damp paper ie high humidity, I had all the same problems you are now facing & have 100% success by installing Cassette Heaters in all our machines - the IRA C2000 series had the same issues & Canon NOW include the Heaters in the IRA C2200 & 5200 series machines - in the 'Land of OZ' anyway.
