I think i was not able to explain the problem,actually in the process of firmware update the power tripped down at the customer's location,
and after restarting the Machine now i can go to copy screen,touch screen is also working fine,i can select options in copy screen IMG_20140326_182532.jpgbut it will not do anything beyond that.
and it will also not go to → [Function Settings.

Is there anything we can do to make it work?and i don't have the firmware to install via SST,i was trying to install it via delivery server

Update went well,but after final reboot now it's stuck on ''Starting please wait a moment screen''

completely out of ideas here!

I feel so ashamed telling you guys that this machine is now sitting in my workshop with this look.. after firmware upload and will remain on same condition for ever and will not boot further.is there any recovery options with out replacing boards or Hard disk? USB_iA4245_v12.03.01.exe was the firmware i load last time via USB stick, Can you please point me to right direction here? Regards

make sure firmware was loaded on a blank> formatted USB stick & start over

Flashing an imageRUNNER using a USB thumb-drive


1. Perform Shutdown procedure and switch the copier OFF (if it does not switch OFF automatically.)
2. Insert the previously prepared USB thumb-drive to an available USB port at the back of the device.
3. While pressing the 2 and 8 keys, turn the copier ON.
4. At this point, the progress bar will briefly display, followed by the "---Download Mode---" screen, which will then change to the USB Dowload Menu .
Choose the action from the options menu presented.

Choose UPGRADE OVERWRITE ALL


Finally, power the device OFF when prompted, and then ON again to complete the system software upgrade.

Bingo...Tacket how on the earth you are always always right. Thanks a million man ,it's back to previous condition now with normal screen, but the weird thing is still refusing to make copy. I have attached few snapshots during firmware loading and find something really weird about RCON Error. this could be something wrong with Reader? the Reader cable is properly connected. Bingo...Tacket how on the earth you are always always right. Thanks a million man ,it's back to previous condition now with normal screen, but the weird thing is still refusing to make copy. I have attached few snapshots during firmware loading and find something really weird about RCON Error. this could be something wrong with Reader? the Reader cable is properly connected. This error code is also shown when the system software is downloaded for the option not attached to the host machine.


- When any error occurs during writing, E753-0001 is displayed.

Check the system software name on the left of "version up...error. When it is a non-installed option, turn OFF and then ON the main power switch for recovery.

a) Normal mode
- Service mode > COPIER > Function > SYSTEM > DOWNLOAD
[Caution]
- There is no need to turn the main power switch of this machine ON while holding down 1+7 keys of the numeric pad. The normal mode can be started by entering service mode from the normal start condition.
- The download mode is started after reading the version information of system software and completing the acquisition of version information at the startup and the service mode should be entered after all items of main menu are displayed.
b) Safe mode
Hold down 2+8 on the numeric pad and turn ON the main power switch.
[Caution]
- Excluding cases when unable to enter service mode after starting the host machine or performing HDD format, use the normal mode for download mode.
- When entering the download mode and the system software is stored in the temporary storage area, it is deleted.

2) Writing process
The system software downloaded by any methods is stored in the temporary storage area. After finishing download, the machine reboots and the writing process starts.
When the writing process is completed normally, the machine reboots and start with the downloaded system software.
[Caution] When this machine's main power switch is turned OFF during writing process, the machine may become unable to start.

- This machine supports the remote upgrade by CDS and the caution message is displayed during the writing process to make sure that the user down not turn OFF the main power switch.

Check if the accessory is correctly installed and if the target system software to be downloaded is for the installed option

Re-flashing the machine should resolve the issue. At times the reloading of system software fails and specific steps need to be taken. Two separate steps are listed below.

1. Confirm accessories are connected properly. Format HD and re-load system software using the Service Support Tool. or >>>>
2. Confirm accessories are disconnected. Format HD and re-load system software using the Service Support Tool. Format HD and load system software using SINGLE when flashing the machine; only flash the needed firmware for machine . All accessories were disconnected.

- When any error occurs during writing, E753-0001 is displayed.

System Software Update Error
Error occurs when updating system software of uninstalled options

Check the log to find where the download error has been occurred.

-IFN_D1 Inner Finisher-D1
-G3CCB Super G3 FAX Board-AK1/Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board-AK1/Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board-AK1 G3CCM Super G3 FAX Board-AK1/Super G3 2nd Line Fax Board-AK1/Super G3 3rd/4th Line Fax Board-AK1

When any of the above system software is displayed, check if the target option has been installed.
When the target option has not been installed:
Turn OFF and then ON the main power supply to restore (since there is no system software to be updated.).

When the target option has been installed:
Check if the accessory is correctly installed and if the target system software to be downloaded is for the installed option.
Then download the appropriate system software again
