[CQ] Canon 5030 memory media not working.

I can't seem to get the memory media button to appear. I have followed all steps in the manual to fix this. It recognizes the usb device but the memory media button still won't display to access files.

In settings, preferences, external interface, usb settings.

Use USB DEVICE SET TO - ON
USE MEAT DRIVER FOR USB INPUT DEVICE- OFF
USE MEAT DRIVER FOR EXTERNAL USB - OFF

these are the steps online to fix it but it's not working. Can someone help?

In addition to setting the "Use USB Device" setting to "On", you also have to turn on the memory media option.
Press the Settings / Registration button. Next, go to Preferences > Display Settings > Store Location Display Settings. Set the option for Memory Media to "On". Turn the main power switch off and back on. The memory media button will now be displayed.

    To use the memory media:
    1. Select the [Settings/Registration] key and then Log into the machine. Enter the system manager ID & PIN, then press Login. The default ID and password is 7654321.
    2. Select [Preferences], and then [Display Settings], next select [Store location Display Settings].
Now set [Memory Media] to "ON" and then select OK.
The setting will take effect after the main power is turned off and on.

The following type of memory media is supported:
    • USB memory

    • The following memory media file system is supported:

    • FAT32

    • Memory media with security functions and memory card readers connected via USB are not supported.

    • Memory media used with an extension cable is not supported.

    • Memory media used via a USB hub is not supported.

    • Memory media that does meet the USB specification is not supported.

    • Some memory media cannot be used.

    • When using memory media, the machine may not enter the Sleep mode completely. Weekly Timer settings are also disabled.
