    Using F4 Ledger paper

    Hi.

Can we print using F4 ledger paper 209mm x 328mm in IR7086? Please correct me if im wrong on that paper size name. Today i try on adjusting the cassette tray and theres is no F4 size indicator and it show U3 size on screen for cassette 3. When i try to copy the image shift down for about an inch. I did search on history but none of them for IR7086.

    Can someone please help me?

The closest standard size that I can find is Foolscap Folio: 210mm x 330mm. If you can find a setting for that, It probably will not jam with the 2mm difference in length. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            Go to Service Mode Level 2 > COPIER > OPTION > BODY > ORG-LGL enter 1 OK.
            Still level 2 > COPIER > OPTION > CST > U1-NAME~U4-NAME enter 1 OK.
Turn OFF and back ON the machine.

yes i got it, thank you.

Now the screen show LGL on cassette 3. Using copy glass is fine but using ADF it will shrink downward for about an inch.

Are the paper guides in position besides the paper ?
If yes then you must do Cassette Sensor Adjustment :
Go to Service Mode level 1 for cassette no. 3 :
Put STMTR paper in cassette no. 3 and slide the guides to that position.
                    COPIER > FUNCTION > CST > C3-STMTR > OK
Put A4R paper in cassette no. 3 and slide the guides to that position.
                    COPIER > FUNCTION > CST > C3-A4R > OK.
Check the display should read FLSC for F4 paper.
And do not forget Service Mode level 2:
                    COPIER > OPTION > BODY > ORG-LGL = 1 > OK.

Yes Spectraindo. The paper guide is in position
                      LEVEL 2 - COPIER > OPTION > BODY > ORG-LGL = 1 > OK
                      Screen show FLSC
But the print out result still the same as attachment above.

                        Re: Using F4 Ledger paper

I found out that if the ADF paper guide adjust to A4R /A5 (see attachment below) then the result will shrink down for an inch
                        IMG_20140403_120751.jpg

But when the paper guide on ADF adjust to LGL / STMT /LTRR (see attachment below) the result is fine but the paper will not fit correctly on document tray.

                          Re: Using F4 Ledger paper

You can check the paper size detected by the feeder :
                          *-28-* > FEEDER > DISPLAY > FEEDSIZE = should be FLSC.
                          Check also TRY-WIDE > move the paper guide to A4 = 2970, move to A4R = 2100.
If not, move the guide to A4, press FUNCTION > SENS-INT, THEN TRY-A4 > OK
Move the guide to A5R, press FUNCTION > TRY-A5R > OK.
When your paper width = 210 mm (A4R) , move the guide to 215 (LGL/LTRR position) this can also be the problem.
                          Check again FEEDSIZE = FLSC.

Both reading are fine for A4 = 2970 and A4R = 2100. But the FEEDSIZE remain at A4R. It still shrink down an inch

When the paper guide on ADF adjust to LGL / STMT /LTRR, the FEEDSIZE show FLSC.

Try this, if it does not work you better slide the guides to LGL/LTRR.
                              Goto Service Mode Level 2 > BODY > OPTION > CST > CST-U3
Use it to specify the name of paper in a paper size group (U3).
When any of the special size papers is specified for U3, the paper may be used as a special size paper for U3 (universal cassette). 2
settings, set it to 35: Folio, on the control panel FLSC will change to FOLIO.
                              Actually FOLIO = 210 X 330 mm and FLSC = 215 X 330 mm.
                              Still in Level 2, press OPTION > BODY > ORG-FLSC > change from 0 to 2.
You can also try ORG-A4R > change from 0 to 1.
                              Turn OFF then ON.
