Canon IRC2225 black blothces on heavy stock

    Hi Guys,
Looks like black drum needs replaced due to tone residue on drum, but will that fix black blotches on copies on heavy stock or is that the fuser?(copier has 40,000 total copies on it)
    Thank you
    Doug

Are you using the bypass tray, and setting the correct media type? My guess is no.

When you select a Heavy media type the machine increases fuser temperature, increases transfer voltage and slows down print speed automatically. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If you have Toner residue on the Drum it will need to be replaced anyway - but further to Blackcats suggestion, I have found that telling the machine that OHT are being used slows the transport of the Stock from the Bypass even more.
