    IRC 3220 image quality problem?

    Hi, all
After printing 30 pages, paper is getting dirty with yellow or cyan background ( not whole page). But when you pull the drums, cleaning blade out and clean them then put them back you will get good and clean image back. The problem is the paper will be dirty again after 30-50 pages printing. I guess the drums caused this problem. Any idea would be greatly appreciated, thanks

have you checked life value of drums- as rule anything over 230 will start to give problems(ie dumping dev) but have known drums fail at less than 50% when customer has done full bleed/coverage....

      hi mate,

sounds like the drums are knackered, if they are new then u need to doctor the dev blade on the drum unit.... 0.30mm is the best spacer to use for the blade.

let us know how u get on matee

Thank you so much for you guys reply. BK is 284 ( that's why it's giving me grey background), Yellow is 62 ( toner is leaking? maybe it's defective). Anyway, from you guys said I can rebuild the drum by cleaning or adjusting doctor blade, right?
        Thanks again

yeah u doctor the blade the side that it is leaking. take it apart and ull see the screws u need to loosen. i generally dont loosen all of em only the two that are nearest the leaking side.
