    [Misc] canon irc2380i - faulty colour copies/prints

    Hi,

I'm new at this forum and I'm very grateful for all the good threads I've read.

We have a canon irc2380 that prints out faulty color prints. The problem Is only affecting color prints, and not b/w at all.

Please see the attachments for what issues we are experiencing. (blue and red vertical lines)

If anyone know what the issue Is, and how to fix, please share :-)

    Thanks In advance

What condition are the colour drums in? Look at the life % & also do a visual inspection

      Hi,

And thank you very much for such a fast reply!
We just bought this printer from a bankrupt company, so don't know the age of anything or the service history, but it looks like they are full(?)

Please see the attachments for visual check. Not sure what I would call the condition.

      Thank you very much.

I'm sat in traffic, road is closed so I have all the time in the world!

You are clearly not a tech!? I'd get a trained tech to look at the machine, looks like the machine is in a mess!

hehe, thats true. But I'm a magician when I know how to fix stuff I thought all laser copier looked like that in the drum area.
So i guess the drum AND the area we insert the drum should be 99% clean or?

Thing is, all the drums and drum areas looks like that, and still only blue and abit red that are the problem. Black looks horrible, but prints out perfect.
So i guessed it had nothing todo with that part. But i guess i'm mistaken?

Exactly, your looking at the toner area, that's supposed to look like a mess!

                Even though it is in german, if you watch it will give you enough instruction to inspect the drums in the machine, I suspect they will require changing;

                Use the force luke.
