    [Error Code] Canon Imagerunner 2200

    Our office has a Canon Imagerunner 2200 with error code E000000-0000.
    Any advise on what exactly this code may indicate or what steps could be taken for a 'do it yourself' fix would be much appreciated.

    The machine has been completely powered down and unplugged, still are unable to read anything on the screen other than the errror code.

      You can most likely reset this code in service mode:

      Enter service mode by pressing additional functions key (*) then press 2+8 then * again.

      When in service mode on the screen press COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR> highlight ERR then touch OK

      Power off+on the machine error should be cleared.

      If you still have the error after doing the above you will need a new fixing film unit. (you WILL need an engineer to replace this
      )

        Hi folks
        There is no reason to reset this code. Since the system didnt detected any changes on the temperature it will not go away. It will just work again if you change the heater, then the code will go away for itself.
        A idea would be cheking the two heater conectors on both ends. No need to disassemble the complete fuser but just taking it out, disconecting the cables and conecting again.
        Cheers

          I wouldn't rush to a screw driver before trying with fingers first. i.e Attempt to clear the code first in service mode, then if it fails, take out the fixing unit.
