ir1025 drum replacement .... am I missing something?

I need to replace the drum on an imagerunner 1025. I think I've done this before, but it seems welded on now and I can't get it out. This reference suggests that I should just be able to pull it out using the two handles. Am I missing something?

You probably have a Katun drum in the IR1025. Everyone I've had to pull out, was stuck. Good luck.

Lower the L/H door & check the black plastic lever/arm isn't broken as this releases the Drum Unit to enable the smooth removal - if broken you can release by pulling the remaining part of the lever down.

I'm having the same problem...exactly where is the lever that you speak of?...I'm afraid that a good hard tug will bust something...
