Offending command / Pagesize - mark - false on clc 3200 C1 - (what's up here)

Trying to print via the fiery drivers and set document size smaller than media (12x18" or 305x457mm) size by at least 1/8 "0,315mm)

the 12x18" is registered in the copier

And I get the above postscript error !!

Can anyone help me make sense of this.


even if I choose print to fit I end up with this error !!

did u register the irregular paper size in Printer

Stack Bypass:
Irregular size (3 15/16" x 5 7/8" to 12 5/8" x 18" (100 mm x 148 mm to 320 mm x 457 mm))



Paper Quantity: one to approximately 100 sheets (20 lb bond (80 g/m2), stack
approximately 1/2" (10 mm) high)

But how about i/regular sizes like ;-)

or SRA3 320x450

Just trying to figure what is safe figures/printable area when comming from a PDF file / indesign/illustrator to any off these formats.

From my understanding the printable area is a 1/8" less than the papersize

The pictures from the manual above use some pretty antiquated drivers. The current driver from fiery talk about document size and media size. I can see that I'll have to do some screenshots for you with some current info and experiment a little

Until you guys wake up over there I should be able to test things a little with different drivers ;-)

You're probably right the fiery driver is just an universal driver that likely supports several pieces of equipment from Canon.


At the moment I'm not able to get anything out on the 12x18" at all be it in the manual feed tray or in a regular drawer (registered of course)


Odd

One should be able to print something intended for A4 at any size of paper if one choose fit/shrink oversized pages.

But telling the copier to choose the 3rd drawer or from the stack bypass (manual feed tray) goes by like talking to a concrete wall ..... no result at all not even a sort of relief ;-)

What C1 Print Driver are u using / what is OP System ? Windows 8/7 ?

Cassette Feeding = EXEC., STMTR, LTRR, LTR, LGL, 11” x 17”, 12” x 18”
Optional Paper Deck = LTR
Stack Bypass = 3-5/16” x 5-7/8” to 12-5/8” x 18” (100mm x 148mm to 320mm x 457mm)

"When an imagePASS is connected the Convert Paper Size option must be configured on the imagePASS controller instead".


Paper Size Override Function on the Canon Controller based printers is very similar to the setting on the Fiery based controllers called Convert Sizes.

The purpose of Paper Size Override is to convert a paper size when the paper size that is set in the printer driver has not been loaded in a paper drawer. The paper that is printed on will be changed to the following sizes: Print Driver Setting Paper that will be printed on
Letter ---> A4
A4 ---> Letter
11 X 17 ---> A3
A3 ---> 11 X 17

If [On] is selected, the paper size will be changed.
If [Off] is selected, the paper supply message will be displayed and the paper size will not be changed.
To Set Print Override:

1. Press Additional Functions
2. Select Printer Settings
3. Select Settings
4. Select Paper Size Override [On or Off]. (On newer Systems choose Paper Feed Settings and then Paper Size Override.)

When u have a Fiery connected ( imagePass C1) in your case,
U need to use the Drivers for it. & not the models (3200 ) drivers.

But in europe Canon kindly write CLC 3200/iRC3200N on the reference manual for obfuscation ;-)
I don't have any manuals for the "RIP"/ PDL unit so I'll take some camera-shots of

But if I can use command worksation from "efi" there's a good probability that it's a fiery rip.


(Un)fortunately we got it second hand (used with a lot of toner) as we ALSO have an iRC 3200N that we can use as spares.


We'll be a lot smarter during tuesday ... my monday got seriously screwed up in various ways ;-)

u can do that under Control Panel Printer Tab
