I feel like an idiot because I forgot how to enable the ethernet port. The display keeps saying check the network connection. The print kit is installed. I ran into this before on my 2270 and I figured it out that time. I've looked everywhere under network settings yet can't find it. Is it in the service mode maybe. Something simply needs to be turned on. AAAaaaahhhhh.

Copier>Option>Body>SMTPTXPN
Changing the SMTP send port number
U mean Print Kit E1/E3
Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings
In Network Setup>Port Setup enable Ethernet
In Network Setup>Protocol Setup>TCP/IP set enable TCP/IP to yes**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.** -
Re: IR 3570 Enable printing
Not there
Additional Function> System settings> (2) Choices Change settings/Display connection confirm or TCP/IP settings
If I pick the first it's either on/off. If off no TCI/IP settings are not available. If set to yes There are 5 screens of things to set.
IP settings
DNS settings
Ping
WNS
LPD
RAW
SNTP
FTP
IPP
Multitask Discovery
Certificate Settings
Use
HTPP
Proxy Settings
IP Range setting
Mac Address
Under IP settings I can set everything. Nowhere is the things you mention No protocol.
There is no network protocol setup. There is no port enable.
There is no SMTPTXPN under Copier/Body either.Comment

Re: IR 3570 Enable printing
Done all that. Turning off auto detect got rid of the message in the display. However I still can't make a connection to my network. I gave it an IP address, gateway and all that. Doesn't connect. It's an E1 print kit.Comment

Re: IR 3570 Enable printing
----/-u probably did this already
1) Make the following selections in service mode: COPIER>TEST>NETWORK>PING.
2) Enter the correct IP address using the control panel keypad, and press the OK key.
3) Press the Start key.
- If successful, the indication will be 'OK'. If the attempt fails, however, 'NG' will be indicated.

Troubleshooting the Network
Making a Check Using a Loopback Address
A loopback address will return before it reaches the network controller. When you execute PING using a loopback address, you can find out whether the machine's TCP/IP setting is correct.
-Enter the appropriate loopback address (127.0.0.1) for PING.
- If 'NG', check the machine's TCP/IP setting once again, and execute PING once again.
- If 'OK', go to the next check.
Making a Check Using a Local Host Address
A local host address is the IP address of the machine. When you execute PING using the address, it will return after it has reached the network controller so that you will be able to find out whether the network controller (main controller PCB) is free of a fault or not.
-Enter the IP address of the machine for PING.
If 'NG' is indicated, perform the following, and execute PING once again:
- if the IP address of the machine is faulty, check to be sure that the IP address setting is correct or, as necessary-
- if the main controller PCB is faulty, replace the PCB.
If 'OK' is indicated, suspect a fault in the user's network environment.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment
