    NP7161 problems

    G'day,
I have a couple of problems with a canon np7161 that was supposed to be jamming. at first look the paper was stopping with the lead edge about 30mm out from the fuser, also it was showing an E805.
I replaced the exhaust fan and retried the machine - now it started lighting the 'set control card' light and also what looks like the right side door (with the waste toner indicator below it - but NOT lit) when it is powered on. I managed to get it to come ready once by emptying the waste toner box (even though the indicator was not lit) but it has gone back to these errors.
When it did come ready I tried to do a copy and it still stopped about 30mm out of the fuser, I am assuming this may be a sensor problem and have cleaned the sensor at the fuser.
I am not familiar with the machine at all and any help would be greatly appreciated.

    regards
    keith

recheck your wiring, sounds like something got pinched after you replaced fan, or didn't get plugged in all the way.
