[Dead] Canon IR 3200 Error code E0002-102 and cant get into service mode

I have a Canon ImageRunner 3200 and I found what appears to be a transparancy wrapped around the heat roller. Removed it with no apparent damage, but I keep getting a error code of E0002-102, and I press * 28 * immediately and get no response. So I can't access service mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Addl func/2 and 8 at same time /addl func should get you in service mode. Then copier/function/clear/err/ok and power off and on

That "transparency" was the upper roller coating.
You will get smudging when you do heavy coverage

It appears that the key pad isn't working. That's the reason that I can't get in to service mode. Can any one give me some insight on where to start on the key pad trouble shoot mode?

push each button to see which is working.
some may have swithed service mode to *49*
check that out.

all keys should have an easy release download> then upward when depressed

Well again I thank every body. with the experience's I've had with Xerox K'bwds.. I ordered one on E-Bay. Cheap enough solved the problem, good as gold.
