[CQ] Canon iR ADV C6265 - Image Fault

Good morning everybody

Brand new machine, just set it up and installed. (see attached PDF... i printed off multiple test pages so you can see the repeating pattern)

I made the rookie mistake of configuring the network before initalizing the developer, stepped out of the room for a moment, and 50 + pages were printed off

So at first i thought that it was the dev unit.

Removed the developer unit and completely cleaned out, installed and initiallized in mode.... but this looks more like a transfer/ charge issue?


Any help would be fantastic.

Looks like a dev issue the distance between the voids is drum/dev related. Almost looks like the dev is pulling away from the drum ever so slightly during a copy. And of course these are next to impossible to watch during a copy. I'd run a dev-cln and then a re-init on it just in case.

What are the odds that the dev unit on a 6265 is the same as a 6055? Does anybody know? If this is the case i can swap out with another machine on site and see if the fault follows the part.

They look the same (and it's the same toner)... but i'm hesitant to try... dont want to risk further damge...

Figured it out,

The shaft of the mag roller isactually bent just ever so slightly. Causes the roller to pull away from thedrum just a little bit.
