iR3045 - How to scan?

Hi

I have installed Scangear. I selected the printer iR3045 on scangear.
Then, I closed the scangear and opened microsoft word.

Insert -> picture -> from scanner to camera.

I pressed the button scanner. But it says scanner is offline. Confirm that scanner is online, and then start scanning.

But in canon i don't see any option named scan.

It is copy, express copy, send, mail box, print jobs.

Please tell me how to scan..

You need to get the scan tab on the screen. I believe its in service mode level 2 option, user, then I believe you're looking for UI-scan. Set to 1 and scan tab should come up.

Service mode/level 2/copier/option/user/ui-scan/change to 1 and touch ok. Are you a tech?

No. I just use it in my shop.
I am not able to find the service mode option in my printer.
Or should i enter the ip address of the printer in browser url to change this?
Don't get mad. I know it is simple to change but i am not able to find it

Press additional functions then 2 and 8 at the same time then additional functions again. then you should see service mode and follow the steps above.

It is in service mode level 1

I see there, copier, feeder, sorter, fax, board

It is getting changed to level 1
I pressed additional function and 2 to change it to level 2 and then i saw nw-scan instead of ui-scan.
I set that to 1

But i don't see scan option in the tab

You have to scroll. That's why there's techs. Change that back. If you don't see it look under body

foxit, nuance, Any document management or pdf creator will allow you to scan through the scangear driver into the app. Every tech has a preferred solution for these apps.
