Re: irac5250 feed roller
The history behind these particular rollers is funny. First the 3405 was all smooth black, was a bad roller and changed to the grey ribbed type. Then the Feed tire that was Grey with the raised tread was changed for a smoother black roller. That confused me because in my opinion, that grey feed roller was very good. Of corse these changes happened in the old 3000 and C3000 machines. So now we have another feed roller change. It would be really nice to know WHY and what reason pushed a changed here. I am going to assume its the heavy paper support. Maybe the thought is to incorporate the better roller to insure jam free operation with heavier types of media.
