    [Dead] Canon IRc 5870

    WE have import stock of canon color machines and the problem concentrate that we have canon (IRC 5870) machine that when we make test type 10 (MCYBk horizontal stripe) the black horizontal stripe only appear and the other colors not appear.
    Note: we set COLOR-Y/M/C/K to (1) to generate the desired test.
    And also the machine work only in mono type and we noted that machine out of color toner cartridges just black cartridge is set and LCD do not display any indicator to set any color toner

      First, reseat the color toner cartridges to verify they are positioned correctly.

      Then check connector J1106 on the DC-CON; pin 3A (Ground), 4A (signal) and 5A (5volt supply) for PS26; the color toner cartridge detect sensor. Check for a proper 5 volt supply and a proper change of state on pin 4. If there is no supply voltage, replace the DC-CON. If there is no change of state on the signal line, replace PS26.

          No color toner cartridges installed.....wonder why it has no color. The wiring harnesses at front of process unit go bad on these units...all communication goes thru these. 5870......OLD JUNK>>>>Can't polish a turd(or chrome plate it either)

                  i know professional technician working with machine with out setting color cartridge just working in mono case only
                  A7A for both you and the other
