    [CQ] smearing image 3235

I have a 3235 that makes prints, receives fax, and prints from memory perfectly. When using df or printing from glass copies are blurred ( looks like fuser low temp but i know it is a scanner problem ). Im going to reset dc-con m-con taking ccd flat cable and reader board. Im wondering if anyone has seen this Canon support says they havent. Thanks for any help

Have you tried cleaning optics? and also clean the scanner rail.

I would still look at the optics scanner cable .Milage on this machine? Other prints are ok so that eliminates drum. fuser. and dev.

Clean optics as stated. Do CCD adjust, adjust white levels for glass and df(function/ccd/df-wlvl1,df-wlvl2,df-wlvl3 and df-wlvl4). Also reset the CIS connector where it plugs into reader pcb. Seen issue there before. Also make sure reg roll ground clip is contacting roll(it would show on prints also but never know). Post a sample...5 different people have 5 different definitions of a blur. Ram clear the reader also, then do these adjustments

I am having the same issue with a 3045 in the field, the smearing really only happens after about 20 copies of something with a lot of toner (like our test sheet) so the customer hasn't really noticed it yet. Could you point me to the plastic piece that was broken on yours?
