Ok, I see more clearly now, especially because of your answer teckat .

The only thing to do is to wait for the new boot-rom, put it in the copier and try to print ? We'll see if the bootrom version matches with system software ?

In case of not : what can I do ?

after installation in the copier, I got this error E000744-3030 :

I have seen in the forum that's maybe because of the missing 256MB RAM... Am I right ? (I think I only have 256MB installed : see previous pics)

Could it be because bootrom version doesn't match with system software ?

BOOT ROM needs updating/there were a few important updates for v6.36 and above

but for now u need below >>>>>>

Standard is 512 MB RAM




For manufacturing convenience, the DIMM configuration has been changed from using 2 x 256 MB memory DIMMs (WA7-3296-000) to 1 x 512 MB memory DIMM (WA7-4625-000).

Important Notes for Servicing the imageRUNNER 2270 / 2870 / 3570 / 4570 Models:

- When replacing a DIMM, use (Qty 1) 512 MB DIMM or (Qty 2) 256 MB DIMM. The 256MB DIMM will continue to be supplied.

- Be careful not to install a 512 MB DIMM into a machine with 512 MB already installed. Adding a 128MB, 256MB, or 512MB DIMM into the additional open slot will render the machine inoperative.
- The 512MB DIMM can be mounted on either of the slots.

Viewing the Amount of Memory (RAM) Installed
1. Enter Service Mode (hit Additional Functions, then 2 and 8 simultaneously, then Additional Functions).

2. Select COPIER.

3. Select DISPLAY

4. Select ACC-STS.

5. Look at the RAM option. The number of MB of memory installed will be displayed here.


Make sure u have BOOT ROM in correct slot

E733 Error Code After Replacing the Boot Rom

A new boot rom was inserted into a slot and the machine was turned on. The E733 came up on the display after a few minutes. In this case, the boot rom was mistakenly placed in the slot located on the DC Controller. The Boot Rom slot on the Main Controller is the same size as the DCON Dimm slot on the DC Controller. Hastily replacing this chip without confirming the correct slot will damage the chip. NOTE: If you are installing a network boot rom and it is damaged, you will need to contact the TSC for the replacement procedure.

I've seen in the pdf file you gave in a similar post that my RAM dimm was only 256MB but here is the confirmation :

Some (bad) news :

I bought a 256MB SD-RAM PC133 DIMM and add it to the copier (so 2x256MB) : doesn't work : the "boot" loading screen stops nearly 20%.

I bought a 512MB SD-RAM PC133 DIMM and replace the 2x256MB DIMM by the 512MB alone : doesn't work : black screen, like the touchscreen doesn't power on. The LED on the motherboard blincks 10 or 11 times.

Bad luck

But the badest news : when I put only the old 256MB DIMM, the screen still doesn't power on ! I don't know what to do... I hope I didn't "bricked" it with non-original SD-RAM DIMM...

The All-Night Power Supply protection circuit may be shutting off power to all loads. The RMT1 and RMT2 signals are used to trigger the protection circuit and disable the power supplies.

LED 1006 is lit (I don't know why the led was blincking last time ?)
Touchscreen isn't power on : black with no backlight.
The printer "move", like it was starting

With the 2x256MB DIMM :

LED 1006 is lit
Touchscreen power on : boot loader is showing progress bar which stops at 15-20%
The printer "move", like it was starting

Hi are these experiments with the copier bootrom or the printer one?
You know the machine still works with the original ram and bootrom as a copier only.
