Canon IR3035 solid Black Band length wise on document

Hello I have an canon ir3035 when making copies from the glass the copies are coping out with a solid black band down the length of the copies in the LTRr direction. But when making copies from the document feeder there is no black band. Have done a couple of checks but I just lost.
    Can anyone help.

    Thanks

Are you sure it's not the other way around? Lines through the DF, but not off the glass? Dirty optics or slit glass could easily account for that.

If you are correct ... well it would have to be some sort of image processing problem. I would start by cleaning and re-seating the ribbon cables, especially to the CCD. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
