[Misc] CANON IR5075 - Toner Supply Problem

    Dear All,

I have problem with Canon IR 5075 toner supply mechanism.

    Here I attach an image.

All gears as shown by the red arrow doesn't rotate.

I have make sure that the hopper stirring motor (I am not sure of this motor's name ) is working (by trying it on other running machine)

There is no error at all and the machine works normally except that gears that doesn't rotate.

what may caused this problem occurs? which parts should I check? thank you

Check the toner sensor in front of developing assembly

        - Check toner sensor TS1 and harness
        - Check Motor M9 and harness : COPIER > FUNCTION > PART-CHK > MTR-ON
        - Check DC-CON

DSC_0394.JPGI have tried this unit to another running machine and the it works perfectly.

In which part the sensor is attached? if it is attached in this unit then the sensor has no problem.

could it be caused by the cable ? (as the M10 motor is working )
          thank you.

These gears rotate only when the developer needs toner from the sub-hopper.
If you want to test M10
            go to service mode > Copier> Function> Part-CHK> MTR and enter 22
Then Press MTR-ON and watch the gears

Re: CANON IR5075 - Toner Supply Problem

Hi I have had this problem a couple of times before.
The gearing that rotates the toner bottle becomes stiff and puts excess load on the motor, and as a result eventually causes the driver circuit on the DC controller to fail.
check for dropped toner on the drive gears, and then replace DC controller.
                good luck

                  the man said :
Gears turn when hopper is switched to another machine, plus his original machine has no other problem.
I take it that it copies fine, and he just likes to watch with gears

When that motor blows, it produces e025
Fortunately, I have never seen one e025 with dirty gears
