[Misc] Canon IR 4570 Copying Speed.

    Hello Folks.

It's seems that when i place paper (letter) horizontally LTRR the copying speed reduces to about 22 ppm, but when it's placed vertically LTR in the drawer, the speeds seems normal, about 40-44 ppm.

Is this the way this machine function or there is a setting i'm missing?

    Thanks.

The ADF/print speed is always based on A4/LTR not A4R/LTR-R. There are other factors that can slow it down though. Perhaps the fax is to set to Fine resolution, or perhaps Mixed Originals has been defaulted. But in the end it will always take longer for 11" of paper to pass than 8 1/2". =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Its absolutely normal, and have you checked that if you run 11x17 (Ledger size) paper is much slower?, this is because -logically-the longitude of the paper passing through the machine takes a longer time. A Letter-R paper has a longitude almost double than a LTR (positioned) paper.

This is normal and happens in all machines of all brands.
(see the specifiations brochure closely and you'll see).

By the way are you a tech? this is basic knowledge.
