    Canon irc2620

We have a customer with IRC2620. Copies are perfect for small runs however if they do long run of say 30 or more copies image begins to have a slight red tint appearing, gradually gets worse. Was at machine yesterday and ran 20 copies no problem, after that they ran 50 and problem still persisted. Any Ideas.
    Thanks

Sounds like the magenta drum needs replacing, what % life does it show?

Thanks for that. Stupidly l did not get the drum count when l was there yesterday. Senior moment!! (our canon guy is on vacation l usually maintain the Ricoh machines) l reckon you are probably correct. Will go back today, get the count and if low will order a magenta in. I assume if it is low it is scraping the remaining (CRAP) out of the unit.
      Thanks again

do u see background covering a PG6 GRID TEST PRINT from service mode ??????

how old are Drums ?? especially MAGENTA

u mean background is covered ?
Background is on Copies and Prints.

last time customer ran a full calibration ?

Check the four bias tabs on the Drum Unit Cover. The bias tab may be pushed in and stuck. If the tab is stuck in, it will create a poor contact to the bias tab on the drum unit resulting in background on the copies. There is one tab for each drum.

Below is a picture with an arrow pointing to the bias tab.

I have been back today and checked magenta drum unit which is low. i have ordered a new unit however l will pop back tomorrow and re-check the bias tabs. The magenta background is over the copies but quite light. Appreciate you getting back to me. Much appreciated.
With your suggestions and a new unit l am sure we can sort the problem
          Thanks again Guys
