[Misc] Scan to file with SMB

Hi to all and Merry Christmas.

We have a customer using Kaspersky antivirus and we are trying to configure the SMB scan to file option (IRAC2220i). The antivirus is blocking the communication. I am looking for a solution if someone can help.

    Thanks in advance.

    Rachid.

Re: Scan to file with SMB

Try disabling Anti-Hacker blocking rules for SMB protocol:
Open Kaspersky Anti-Virus and click Settings.

Select Anti-Hacker in the left frame and click Settings in the Firewall section.

Disable the following options in the Rules for packet filtering tab:

Windows "Server Message Block" Activity TCP.
Windows "Server Message Block" Activity UDP.
    Click OK.

Sometimes useful to disable TCP/IPv6 in network connection properties.
    ==========================================

    Kapersky Anti-Virus:

    - Trusted Network: Networks in Kapersky can be setup as Public, Local or Trusted. For SMB sharing to be allowed by Kaspersky, the network has to be either Local or Trusted.

    - Blocking of Local UDP & TCP:
The Firewall setting in Kapersky may choose to set the Packet Rules for local UDP and TCP permission to "Block" by default. Set these two permissions to "Allow" .

    - SMB Blocking by Anti-Hacker:
Kapersky's Anti-Hacker program from earlier versions of Kapersky, can check off SMB sharing as potenital threats by default.

    - Windows 8 Modifications:
Kapersky may modify Windows 8 from the default state that your Windows 8 Sharing PDF would have setup your computer.
