Canon iR 3570 & iR 2270 HDD and software compatibility

Hi all,

I am trying to get my newly acquired iR2270 to print but it did not have a print card in it when I received it. I can take the boot card from my old iR3570 but also need to install memory and HDD upgrade I think. Can I just swap out the HDD from the iR3570 as well or is the software on that HDD that allowed the iR3570 to print specific for that model? I know that the hardware and manuals indicate that the machines themselves are very similar but I don't know about the software.

Yes, swap the ram & boot rom.

Rather than swap the HDD just format the 2270 & reload the firmware, or I think the C & N firmware is the same so you might not need to mess with the firmware etc
