Dead Printer board on a IR400

    Hello all,

I have an IR 400 that no longer sees the printer board. I have checked all of the connections on the PDL interface board and the printer board. I have also tried replacing the hard drive. Any help would be appreciated. I am spending more on inkjet cartridges than gas!

I had an iR400 that the printer board died in just 2 weeks ago....solution?
We sold them a brand new machine.
Sadly Canon no longer make that particular board as it also acts as a Rip.
It's usually not the Printer board that dies but the sub pcb that connects to the board via a ribbon cable.
Your ONLY chance is to hope like hell you can source another board from a scrap machine.

An error E677 001 is noted while the printer board is started up.The power-on signal from the printer board does not reach the IP Board (image processor PCB).Chek between ribban cable & connector be carefully.
