    [CQ] IPR C6000 Calibration curve

What would cause a calibration curve like below.

imagePRESS series_ the proper calibration sequence is:

    1. Shading Correction. (Visual adjustment or using an I-One calibrator).
    2. Auto Gradation (internally or externally).
3 ColorPASS calibration. (Using an I-0ne calibrator or equivalent).

All calibrations should be done on 28lb Hammermill paper.

Color curves fall off sharply at D-Max.

PRINTER only method is good for color adjustment , if the copies still are not looking correct, try the auto gradation from the SCANNER+PRINTER mode for more gradation smoothing.

That is exactly the process I use for calibrating the printer. I still ended up with the calibration curve in the photo. I was wondering if there was some hardware defect that would cause this problem.

        ------------------------------

I would remove ColorPass Server calibration & redo all calibrations again

You mean just restore defaults in the CWS calibrations?

I restored defaults. Ran full graduation and calibration. Still same results.

Improving the D Max of the Measurement versus Target Curves

Version 36 DC Con > allows the technician to boost the D Max of an individual color.

In Service Mode Level 2 select COPIER>OPTION>BODY>DMX-OF-X (where X is the color of the curve that drops off at about 95%, Y,M,C or K).

Change the setting from 0 to 1. You must power cycle the machine then run Autogradation and Calibration. Check the curves again. If you need more improvement, you can change the setting to + 2 or +3.

You must power cycle, perform Auto-Gradation and Calibration each time.

When performing Color Cal using the Server, Color Curves fall off sharply at D-Max.

                CAL.JPG

                1. Perform a DCON RAM clear
                a. Enter Service Mode
                b. Navigate to COPIER > FUNCTION > CLEAR
                c. Select DCON
                d. Press OK
                e. Turn the power for the engine OFF/ON

                2. Manually re-enter the Specifications stored on the Door Label (do not use a stored back-up)

                3. Perform Color Cal again

if the problem persists, a complete Developer change for all four Developer Assemblies may be required.
