ah fair enough. I'd check the spooling settings too while I was there and make sure the computer is doing the heavy lifting rather than sending the job for the printer to do the spooling, that can cause slow printing too.
have you flashed the firmware? i.e. ran a full replace rather than just an update? it could be worth doing if for nothing else than to rule it out as a cause of the problem.
I'd also double check the tray settings in the machine if you haven't already done so, I've had it in the past where users go fiddling with the individual tray settings in the machine and wonder why it stops working properly
