ir5000i hanging
why is it my ir5000i hangs? whn you copy from the feeder the copier automatically hangs and the same with manual scaning.. the display in the screen only shows "printing" and/or "scanning" and after some time the machione just shut off itself and the paper is only stuck before the registration roller? my technician, replaced the main con, format the hard disk and cleaned the memory, they also replaced the "reader" but still the problems reccur.. what do you think is the problem, no error was showing.. the copier only hangs..

Please find out if the correct power is supplied is supplied to your machine from the wall outlet. It is also important to know how it all started, if possible you may call and let me speak directly to technician. -
I had this same problem with an iR5000 about 3 years ago. Have a look at the plug on the back of the feed assembly(thats the drawer with the Fixing Unit on it). That plug slots into a socket inside the rear of the machine(it's shaped like a rectangle). Now get your torch and look for a tiny piece of paper wedhed in any of the pin slots in the socket inside the Machine. Look very closely as the paper will be tiny and very hard to see. I had this problem and so did a couple of my mates so maybe you have it too.....Paper stops at rego and says waiting.
