I have a bizzare problem with MF8450, which manifests itself whenever printing in duplex mode (in simplex everything is fine). MF8450-duplex-problem.jpg If you take a look at the provided picture you'll notice a dark, narrow, ~25mm long stripe in the lower, left hand corner. It usually appears on the 3rd or fourth sheet and remains until the print job has finished. It doesn't matter whether the printed document is mono or colour (tested win serice mode, test pattern 15). The stripe is allways in the same spot and probably appears before a sheet passes through the duplex unit. Any suggestions of what might be the cause?

Re: MF8450, duplex printing with, quality problem
Yes, the K cartridge was replaced.
Fixing unit looks clean and as I mentioned at the beginning, printing & copying in simplex is fine. The problem appears when using duplex.
Haven't tested what happens when duplexed of glass (though I doubt it would make any difference and shed any new light on the problem).
I guess the toners might be put to blame, unfortunately I don't possess any OEMs of that type and can't verifiy if I'm right. Still I'm curious why the mark appears only in duplex and why is it in the exact same spot every time.Comment
