[CQ] MF8450, duplex printing with, quality problem

I have a bizzare problem with MF8450, which manifests itself whenever printing in duplex mode (in simplex everything is fine). MF8450-duplex-problem.jpg If you take a look at the provided picture you'll notice a dark, narrow, ~25mm long stripe in the lower, left hand corner. It usually appears on the 3rd or fourth sheet and remains until the print job has finished. It doesn't matter whether the printed document is mono or colour (tested win serice mode, test pattern 15). The stripe is allways in the same spot and probably appears before a sheet passes through the duplex unit. Any suggestions of what might be the cause?

Just network or usb printing, A4/Legal size. Forgot to mention that the machine is equipped with compatibile toners.

Any ideas? Can I ask for service manual or a part of it depicting paper path?

Have u cleaned the Fixing Unit

            Cleaning the Fixing Unit
If black streaks appear on printed output, the fixing unit may be dirty. Also, you should use the Fixing Unit
Cleaning procedure every time the toner cartridge is replaced. Print the cleaning pattern on LTR paper for
            cleaning the fixing unit.

As cleaning paper, LTR or A4 paper must be loaded in the paper drawer or the stack bypass tray.
Cleaning the fixing unit takes approximately 60 seconds.
            Press (Main Menu).
Press the right Any key to select
            <Additional Func>.
Use [▼], [▲], or (Scroll Wheel) to select <Adjustment/Cleaning>, then press [OK].
Use [▼], [▲], or (Scroll Wheel) to select <Fixing Unit Cleaning>, then press [OK].
Confirm that <Start Cleaning> is displayed, then press [OK].
            Printing starts.
Discard the cleaning paper after use.
The cleaning process cannot be canceled. Please wait until it is completed
Press (Main Menu) to return to the Main Menu screen.

Yes, the K cartridge was replaced.

Fixing unit looks clean and as I mentioned at the beginning, printing & copying in simplex is fine. The problem appears when using duplex.

Haven't tested what happens when duplexed of glass (though I doubt it would make any difference and shed any new light on the problem).

I guess the toners might be put to blame, unfortunately I don't possess any OEMs of that type and can't verifiy if I'm right. Still I'm curious why the mark appears only in duplex and why is it in the exact same spot every time.
