    IRC2880 replace magenta message

I have an irc2880 that has a fault in that it asks for magenta toner, the customer fitted a new one, the message cleared but returned a few days later after only a few dozen prints, this now keeps happening, if customer takes out the M toner & refits it machine runs fine but will keep asking for magenta toner every few days!
I've fitted a new set of drums, vacumed all the toner supply sensors & replaced the board the toner supply units connect to.
Even updated all the firmware to the latest version.
Not sure what else I can try!?
Today I performed a DC con clear just as a test.
Theres no error codes in history & the print quality is perfect.
    Any sugestions?

    Thanks

if u are getting a little bit of toner supplied> u will not receive an error 025
could be a bad clock pulse motor

does the toner level indicator show a full bottle when replaced

    if not
User Mode > Additional Functions > Adjustments and Cleaning > Toner Replacement While Printing is Possible.
Select the color that was replaced, then press YES. This will reset the toner level indicator.

did u check the toner refill motors> M8 to M11///the agitating plate, the
scraping spring and the toner feed screw are activated, and the toner on the hopper assembly is feed to the drum unit

DC controller computes the amount of toner used from the ATR control results, uses this
information to judge how long the toner refill motor should be driven, and thus supplies the required amount of refill toner to the drum.

    Toner level detection
To execute correct toner feeding, this machine has a toner feed level sensor (PS3~PS6).
This sensor detects the sensor flag mounted on the shaft of the feed screw. This sensor flag executes reciprocating movement by the drive of the toner feed motor.
It is the structure that the toner feed screw rotates and the specified amount of toner is fed to the drum unit when the sensor flag moves back and forth once.
At the time of the toner feeding, DC controller monitors this sensor while driving the toner feed motor. The toner feed motor is stopped when the toner feeding is
completed. By executing this, the toner feeding is correctly implemented.

      Re: IRC2880 replace magenta message

Thanks for this info, I'm going back tomorrow.
I'm sure if the toner motor wasn't driving it would throw an error, the fact is the DENS level returns to normal (around +1%) after they remove & refit the M toner.
I will check the toner level counter it was be they have replaced the M toner while printing was still possible as you say.
