    [CQ] iRA C2020 Blank prints after page 30

    Hi,

    Got a customer that prints from MS Publisher to iRA C2020 and said that after page 30 the machine prints blank. Suggested re-installing the driver and sent her the link and instructions but did not make any difference. She is using Win 7 x64 and the driver resolution 1200dpi. The machine has the latest firmware.

    Before going there thought to ask if anyone has experienced this issue or has any ideas whether it's file/app/OS/PC/Memory or machine/memory related.

      was the Publisher file created on older ver of it's app & printed using newer Pub app ver.???


      which driver using ???

          It's very possible. Normally my first step of troubleshooting a file is converting it to pdf. What other steps would you suggest in troubleshooting a file issue in this case please. The driver is UFR II (which in my opinion is pretty good); Canon nickels and dimes for PCL, PS is not available even to purchase, and i don't think Canon uses XPS drivers. I know that PCL drivers work better with MS apps but after using the machine for one year the customer will get upset if asked to pay for a PCL.

              It only starts printing blanks when useing MS Publisher ? Or also when printing any other document ?
              You could print a +30 pag. pdf through the RUI and see if the problem still exists, you then bypass the app and the driver...
              or make +30 copys via glassplate or ADF..

                  Customer prints only from MS Office and Publisher, copying is okay. That's the thing, if i go onsite and the problem has nothing to do with the machine then it will be a billable call. The customer has SLA only for the copier part. Thanks for the input.

                      Is it sent to machine as a booklet or is it just 30 pages? If the issue is only when using Publisher and all other applications cause no issues, then not a machine issue. If you have Acrobat, turn document into PDF then try. If ok, they need to call Bill Gates...lol
